Jai Shri Ram: Celebrating the Triumph of Good over Evil on Ram Navami

Ram Navami is a Hindu festival celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Rama, one of the most revered deities in Hinduism. This festival is observed on the ninth day of the Hindu lunar month of Chaitra, which usually falls in March or April. Ram Navami is celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor by Hindus all over the world.

The significance of Ram Navami lies in the story of Lord Rama, who is regarded as the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to the Hindu epic Ramayana, Lord Rama was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya in the city of Ayodhya. He was born at noon on the ninth day of the Chaitra month, and his birth is considered to be a divine intervention to rid the world of evil.

One of the unique aspects of Ram Navami is the recitation of the Ramayana, the epic tale of Lord Rama's life, which is believed to have been written by the sage Valmiki. Devotees gather in temples and homes to listen to the recitation of the Ramayana and sing devotional songs in praise of Lord Rama. This tradition is known as the Ramayana Paath and is performed for nine days leading up to Ram Navami.

Another unique aspect of Ram Navami is the decoration of idols and temples with flowers, lights, and other ornaments. The idols of Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman are adorned with colorful clothes and jewelry, and the temples are decorated with flowers and lights. Devotees also decorate their homes with rangolis and diyas to welcome Lord Rama and seek his blessings.

One of the most significant rituals of Ram Navami is the Kalyanotsavam, which is a symbolic wedding ceremony of Lord Rama and Sita. The idols of Lord Rama and Sita are placed on a beautifully decorated stage, and the wedding ceremony is performed with great devotion and fanfare. This ritual is performed in temples and homes and is believed to bring good fortune and prosperity to the household.

In some parts of India, Ram Navami is also celebrated with a procession of the idols of Lord Rama and his siblings on chariots or palanquins. This procession is known as the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra and is a grand spectacle, with thousands of devotees participating in the procession and singing devotional songs.

Ram Navami is a festival that celebrates the ideals of righteousness, truth, and justice, which Lord Rama represents. It is a time for introspection and self-improvement, as devotees strive to embody the virtues of Lord Rama in their daily lives. This festival brings people together, regardless of their caste, creed, or religion, and fosters a sense of unity and brotherhood among all.

Ram Navami is celebrated in different ways in different parts of the world. In India, devotees wake up early in the morning and take a bath before offering prayers to Lord Rama. They visit temples and participate in special puja ceremonies. They also recite the Ramayana, which narrates the story of Lord Rama and his triumph over evil.

In conclusion, Ram Navami is a unique festival that holds a special place in the hearts and minds of millions of people in India. It is a celebration of Lord Rama's life and teachings, and of the enduring values of love, righteousness, and devotion that he embodies.

Krishna - Indian mythological god. All Hindus or anyone who came across Hinduism must have listened the name once their life.
Shree Krishna was the 8th Avatar of The Almighty Lord Vishnu. Apart from being a god Krishna is also a spiritual leader who guided Arjuna in the epic battle of Mahabharata, Lord Krishna is known to be a mischievous kid as he used to stole butter from his mother and distribute among his friends. He educated everyone about devotion, dedication and love.

The Holy Bhagavad Gita is a book of learning that Krishna gave to Arjuna in his path of battle against evil. These are collected into 700 Verses each verse you can relate with your life. Whatever problem you are facing in life you can find the answer in The Geeta.

Let's have a look at 5 Learning you can take away from Shree Krishna's Life .

  1. Consider your Karma (Duty) as top priority
    Shree Krishna says :
    कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन |
    मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते

    Image-Courtsey : Google Images
Which means Do your duty and do not wish for fruitful outcomes, Enjoy the journey itself.
In our day to day life we face these situations where we overthink a scenario and forget to enjoy the process.
We should just focus on our duty and do our best, rest all become best. What is destined for us will come to us if we are on right path.

  2. Everything happens because of some reason
Nothing in this world is happening without any context, there is always a reason behind everything that is happening with or around us. We need to look for the greater cause and move on with life.

  3. Control your Rage
Anger leads to clouding of judgment, which results in bewilderment of the memory. When the memory is bewildered, the intellect gets destroyed; and when the intellect is destroyed, one is ruined.
Anger affects you capability of judgement; in turn memory and intellect. Without intellect, a decision making gets affected. One who can control his anger is capable of controlling others.

  4. Never Give up what you love

Ever wondered why among all other gods only Krishna used a musical instrument - a flute. Because, that's a way of educating others to follow their passion.
Lord Krishna, with a country to rule, a war to fight, demons to conquer and through various other commitments, still managed to inculcate the music he loved into his life. He never let his passion for music take a back seat on account of his commitments. He enjoyed playing his flute, mesmerizing those around him with lively tunes.

  5. Be a Feminist when required

    Image-Courtsey : Google Images
Remember how Krishna stood for Draupadi when the Kauravas tried to violate her?
Draupadi was stripped off her clothes and humiliated in front of the entire court. Her own husbands thought of her as a property they have lost in a game and didn’t move a muscle to protest. It was Krishna who stepped into the scene and presented her with a saree.

You must stand up and revolt whenever you see women being objectified, used as commodities or being violated.
The lesson is, it was not because he wanted to impress Draupadi. He acted so as to defend a woman’s dignity. He was acknowledged for his active involvement in defending women’s rights and that’s probably why he continues to reside in the hearts of women till date.

In a move that is sure to heat up the social media wars, Instagram's Threads app attracted over 50 million users in a single day. The app, which is designed as a more private and intimate alternative to Twitter, was launched on Thursday and quickly became a hit with users.

Threads App

Thread is a text-based app that allows users to share photos, videos, and text with their close friends. The app is integrated with Instagram, so users can easily share their Threads posts to their main Instagram feed. However, Threads is also designed to be more private than Instagram, with features like end-to-end encryption and the ability to control who can see your posts.

The success of Threads is a major coup for Instagram, which has been looking for ways to challenge Twitter's dominance in the micro-blogging space. Twitter has been struggling in recent years, as users have flocked to other platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Threads could help Instagram to win back some of those users, and it could also attract new users who are looking for a more private and intimate social media experience.

The launch of Threads is also a sign of the intensifying rivalry between Instagram and Twitter. Both platforms are constantly trying to innovate and attract new users, and Threads is just the latest example of that. It will be interesting to see how Twitter responds to Threads, and whether it can launch a successful counter-measure.

In the meantime, Threads is off to a strong start. The app has already been downloaded over 100 million times, and it is showing no signs of slowing down. It remains to be seen whether Threads can become a major player in the social media space, but it is certainly off to a promising start.

Here are some of the factors that contributed to Threads' success:

  • The app's focus is on privacy. Threads are designed to be a more private and intimate social media experience than Twitter. This is a major selling point for users who are concerned about their privacy.
  • The app's integration with Instagram. Threads are integrated with Instagram, so users can easily share their Threads posts to their main Instagram feed. This makes it easy for users to connect with their friends and followers on both platforms.
  • The app's timing. Threads was launched at a time when Twitter is struggling. This gave Threads a major advantage, as users were looking for a new and improved social media experience.

Here are some of the challenges that Threads face:

  • The competition from Twitter. Twitter is the dominant player in the micro-blogging space, and it will be difficult for Threads to compete with it.
  • The app's limited features. Threads is a relatively simple app, and it lacks some of the features that users expect from a social media platform. For example, Threads does not have a direct messaging feature.
  • The app's lack of brand recognition. Thread is a new app, and it does not have the same brand recognition as Twitter. This could make it difficult for Threads to attract new users.

Overall, Threads is a promising app with a lot of potential. The app has already been successful, and it could become a major player in the social media space. However, Threads faces some challenges, and it will be interesting to see how the app performs in the long term.
